Found the instructions instructions images lean separate for the shirt button placket. With instructions separate to images there was a lot of reading re- reading. Following finding a YouTube video it made it easier. Finished product was what my son wanted.

I made one of these for my young adult son. He loved it so I made him three more and then my husband got in line so he gets some too. Great pattern, love the fit and classic style.
I love this pattern, so far I've made ten shirts for my husband. These are his favorite to wear. He is tall, but it was easy to add length. I modified the pattern to have a one piece collar, no tabs on top and no yoke. The instructions were clear and understandable.
I made two of these for my husband so far. The first one I wasn't thrilled with but the second one is perfect. I had to make sure to pre-shrink my interfacing so it didn't distort the collar after washing. I do find the side slits, placket and banded sleeves a bit fussy. I would skip the slits and the banding on the sleeves to make it a bit quicker. I sewed the first button on right through (the placket is sewn closed at that button) and the other two are decorative with no corresponding button holes. It fits perfectly and is long enough for a 6' guy to wear easily.
