Pull-on Pants and Shorts
- The pattern includes instructions for a visible or hidden waist and pocket facings.
- These make great pajama pants!
- Not bulky at the waist, practical pockets and the visible facing option allows for fun color blocking. A favorite at our house!
- Starts at size "12M" for tiny toddlers!
If you like more room at the hips, we recommend that you go one size up or use a fabric that has a little stretch across the grain.

I found the pocket openings were a bit small on the first pants I made in size R. But I just extended the height of the pocket pieces and the pocket facings on my second pants, so there would be room to catch the top of the pocket into the seam between the pants and the waistband, while leaving larger pocket openings. This worked and resulted in more accessible pockets that I can more easily get my grown up hands into before I put them into the washing machine.
In two weeks, I have used the pattern three times, in different sizes. I think it will be a favourite.
Using the projector file, I was able to easily compare sizes to a pair of pants I knew fit me well and I ended up with a great fit without any alterations. I like the rise on this pant and can see myself using it as a starting point to add style lines and details.
Vraiment des beaux patrons et le fichier et les explications sont très bien faîtes
We love this pattern for PJs, instead of ridiculous hammer pants, we end up with a nice tailored look. These are so easy to make, my two girls and my niece made them in an afternoon. My girls mutliple times since, I think they were 8, 9 and 13 when they made them the first time.
I have made dozens of pairs of shorts from this pattern over the years and just bought fabric to make more! The pieces fit so perfectly together - it is incredibly satisfying to sew. My daughters love the roomy pockets. One thing I have noticed is that, with my girls, choosing the size based on their hip / waist measurements yields a garment that fits but has less ease than they like. Because of this I size up 1-2 sizes. Purely preference!
